SWIFT - Swift Command - Tracking Information

Swift Command Account

Why do I need an account?

You need a Swift Command account to take advantage of the Swift Command features like remote alerts, remote levels and remote control. You also need an account if you wish to add a tracking subscription.

What information is kept and who is it shared with?

For full details of our data policy and what information is stored, please consult the Help section on the Swift Command website:

Swift Command is operated and maintained by Sargent Electrical Services Limited in conjunction with The Swift Group Limited.
Below are the Terms and Conditions to use Swift Command.
  1. Data relating to your account, including Name, Address, Email Address, Phone Number and Vehicle Serial Number will be stored on a Microsoft secure server and will be made available to Sargent Electrical Services Limited, The Swift Group Limited and registered Swift Group dealers and engineers.
  2. System data from your vehicle, including Battery Voltage Levels, Water Levels, Temperature and Humidity along with GPS location data will be stored on a Microsoft secure server and will be made available to Sargent Electrical Services Limited, The Swift Group Limited and registered Swift Group dealers and engineers. The data will be used for diagnostic and analysis purposes and to provide help and assistance.
  3. None of the data covered in the points above will be shared with any third parties, with the exception of data requests from legal bodies, government agencies or the police.

Tracking

Is my vehicle compatible?

All Swift Command caravans and motorhomes that have the EC600 Power System fitted with the EC620 Control Panel or the EC800 Power System fitted with the EC800 Control Panel are compatible.
NOTE: Some caravans built in 2016 have remote features but do not include a tracking option.

How do I add tracking?

You can now subscribe from within the New Swift Command Website.
If you don't already have a Swift Command account, please register for one at www.swiftcommand.co.uk.
From the Homepage, click the Vehicles Section to display the current vehicles connected to your account.

Click on the vehicle you wish to purchase tracking for to access that vehicle's details.
From there scroll down to select the type of subscription that suits your needs and the number of years you want the subscription to cover.
NOTE: There is an option to just purchase a Data Subscription for use with the Remote Control features. This does not include a Tracking Subscription.

If the Vehicles Section does not show any vehicles then you need to get in contact with your dealership as only Swift Group registered dealerships are approved to link a vehicle to a users account.

If you are selling your vehicle privately, please email support@swiftcommand.co.uk and we will transfer the vehicle from your Swift Command account to the new owners Swift Command account. If you sell your vehicle through a Swift dealership then they will undertake the vehicle transfer removing it from your account.
NOTE: That tracking subscriptions are not transferable, so the subscription will end on the day the transfer takes place and no refund will be given for any remaining time

How much does tracking cost?

Each vehicle comes with a 3-year data subscription providing communication and remote control services. You can add an optional tracking subscription at any time, and this can be purchased for 1, 2 or 3 years.
A tracking subscription is in addition to a data subscription; therefore, the cost of tracking depends on the length of any existing data subscription and on the number of years required.
The cost of tracking when using existing data is £100 for 1 year, £200 for 2 years or £300 for 3 years. Please note that an existing data subscription must cover the whole tracking period being purchased (a full year of data is required for each year of tracking being purchased). The cost of combined tracking and data is £135 for 1 year, £250 for 2 years or £365 for 3 years.
Alternatively, if you don’t require tracking and theft monitoring, from year 4 onwards you can purchase a data only subscription and again this can be purchased for 1, 2 or 3 years at a cost of £45, £70 or £90 respectively.
In most cases, there is an insurance discount for having a tracking device fitted.
NOTE: After purchasing a tracking subscription you have 14 days to change your mind and request a refund. Following this 14 day period we are not able to provide any refund, so if a subscription is cancelled during the subscription period any remaining time will be lost.
If you sell your vehicle, it is not possible to transfer the subscription to the new owner or your new vehicle. The subscription must be cancelled and a new one purchased if required.

How does the tracking work?

If the vehicle is moved whilst the tracker is armed, the geo-fence monitoring will trigger a theft event. The monitoring station will then contact you to confirm the theft or false alarm. You will be required to confirm your identity against the information you provided when you subscribed. If a genuine theft is confirmed the monitoring station will liaise with the police and keep you informed of progress.
NOTE: During a theft event, to comply with legislation, you will not be able to manually locate your vehicle using the Swift Command locate feature.
In a caravan, the system is ‘armed’ when you arm the Stinger 310 / 350 Alarm System, or for caravans without an alarm system, when you arm the tracking keypad. In addition, in a caravan with the Stinger 310 / 350 Alarm System fitted, if the alarm is triggered by internal movement or caravan tilting, the alarm monitoring will also trigger a theft event. The system is disarmed when the alarm is disarmed.

In a motorhome, the tracker is ‘armed’ when you turn the ignition off. If the alarm is triggered or if the vehicle is moved whilst armed the monitoring station will be informed, and they will then call you to confirm theft or fault.
Swift Command Tracking is a proactive system and is approved to Thatcham category S7.

What is Thatcham Approval?

Thatcham Research are a UK Product Assessment and Certification organisation that test and approve safety and security products for the insurance industry. Swift Command Tracker is approved under Thatcham Quality Assured Category 7. Further details and the approval certificate can be found at www.thatcham.org

How do I know if my subscription is active?

When your tracking subscription has been activated you will receive a certificate via email detailing your vehicle and the cover period. You can reprint this certificate at any time from your Swift Command Account by viewing the vehicles details and clicking on the Document Heading.

The subscription status is also shown on your vehicles under the Vehicles Section on Swift Command.
