EC670 Keypad instructions


The EC670 Keypad is used to arm and disarm the tracking system (Subject to subscription activation)

Operating the system

To arm the system simply key in your 4 digit code and press the ON key, the keypad should issue a single beep. To disarm the system key in your 4 digit code and press the OFF key, the keypad will issue two beeps. If an error is made i.e. inputting an incorrect code then multiple beeps will be sounded.
NOTE: If the wrong code is entered 5 times then the keypad will beep 5 times and lockout for 10 minutes.

Changing the code

When your caravan is first delivered the default code is set to 1234, this should be changed as soon as possible to a 4 digit code of your choice. To change the code please follow the steps below:
  1. From a disarmed state:
    1. Press and hold the ON key for 5 seconds until you hear a long beep then immediately stop pressing the ON key, the long beep indicates that you are in programming mode.
    2. Enter the old code and press the OFF key, a beep will be issued.
    3. Then enter your new code and press the OFF key again a beep will be issued.
    4. Confirm the new code by entering it a second time and again press the OFF a beep again will be issued and will exit the programming menu.
    5. If no keys are pressed within 10 seconds the system will exit the programming mode. If a mistake is made when in the programming mode then a number of beeps will be issued to advise of the error, this will then exit the programming mode.

Beep codes

1 beep arm 
2 beeps disarm
3 beeps incorrect code has been entered
4 beeps error
5 beeps time out
1 long beep in listen mode
Note: Each key press will also beep to inform you the key has been pressed.

Recovering a lost code

In the event of the loss of the code then the following process shall be used.
  1. Press and hold the OFF key for 5 seconds until you hear a long beep then immediately stop pressing the OFF key, the long beep indicates that you are in reset mode.
    1. Following the long beep, a series of short sounds (the beep code) will be issued in the form of 4 codes (these will consist of 1 to 4 beeps) note down the number of beeps.
    2. Call Sargent Technical support 01482 678981, please ensure that you have your caravan details to hand as a security check will be undertaken to verify that you are the registered owner.
    3. Following the issue of the reset code from Sargent Technical then re-enter the reset mode, after the beep code has ended then enter the code given by Sargent Technical and press the ON key, a confirmation beep will sound. The code has now been reset to 1234, again it is recommended to change this to a code of your choice.
    4. If a mistake is made when in the reset mode then a number of beeps will be issued to advise of the error, this will then exit the reset mode.
